Question God?

What are your thoughts on this? can we question God?

Nope……..

Romans 9:19-21 tells us this:

“But who are you o man to question God?”

We have no right to question the One who created us.

We have our doubts from time to time………because we are sinful human beings. It’s in our nature to doubt what we can’t physically see. But we also rely on faith & trust.

Question him?

We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t.

BUT:

We MUST realize that he IS GOD, and as such, ask him for understanding in any particular situation.

(James 1:5-to-8) But if any of you lacks wisdom, = = = let him ask of God,= = = who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

(Jam 1:6) But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.

(Jam 1:7) for do not let that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord;

(Jam 1:8) he is a double-minded man, not dependable in all his ways.

Jesus never quesioned God he was quoting Psalms. It was a prophecy about the death of Jesus on the cross. Psalm 22

Sure I think we can, and I think God understands why we need to sometimes.

But nowadays whenever I feel the need to question God, I just re-read JOB CHAPTER 38.

That usually kills the urge!

you can question him all you want

Job did and God said when you can make your own universe or tell me how i made this one then you can question me.

We are not smart enough or good enough to measure up to a holy God…..so it is wrong to question him.

It is sometimes easy to question him when things happen but at the end of the day he knows best.

Dr. Charles Stanley says it’s ok to question God…Jesus questioned God on the cross as did Lazarus’ sister?
